PROPOSED PLANS
Open to everyone, Steeple Square will be an attractive center for social life and community support while maintaining historic fabric and features. This includes:
· Renovating the church building into a vibrant multi-purpose event space providing opportunities such as
child care, culinary, cultural, educational, and outreach programming and businesses for the neighborhood and community.
· Designing the rectory for offices, inn space, meeting rooms, and non-profit/community space.
· Converting the Jackson Street school to a mixture of two-three bedroom, multi-family permanent, supportive housing and market rate units. One target market will be former Maria House residents, who are seeking permanent housing while still desiring services provided by Opening Doors.
· Redesigning and expanding outdoor green space and playground to support the overall mission of Steeple Square.
